The rear pipes turn up to follow the bottom frame rail on rigid frames. Heat shields are recommended on all rear pipes.
UPSWEEPS WITH OVER-THE-TRANSMISSION REAR PIPES FOR 1970-1984 SHOVELHEADS
These pipe sets fit Shovelhead engines in rigid frames with kick or electric start. The rear pipe will clear an electric start wraparound oil tank, and a Paughco #718-9 mounting hardware kit is included with Paughco #’s 730CA, 730CS and 730CST pipe sets.
